The OSC is located on the ground floor of the Gallery. To schedule a class using objects, please contact Megan Doyon at least three weeks in advance at 203.432.0613. Please note: cancellation of a scheduled class must be made through Gallery Security at 203.432.0606.

For more information on developing classes using art objects from the Gallery’s collection, see Information: Academic Resources for Yale.
The Object Study Classroom (OSC) is available to Yale faculty and teaching fellows who wish to use works of art from the Gallery’s collection in their Yale classes. The OSC may be scheduled for a single class session or up to a whole semester. When scheduling, faculty and TFs will be directed to contact the relevant curatorial department at the Gallery. Faculty are responsible for the safety of the works of art and for monitoring students during the class; they must provide Gallery Security with a list of the students in the class, and if the class is being conducted by a TF, the name of the TF.

The OSC is equipped with two slide projectors and a digital projector; access to this equipment must be arranged when the class is scheduled. Lockers and coat racks are provided outside the OSC for personal belongings, which, aside from paper and pencil or laptop computers, may not be brought into the OSC. Pens, food, and drink are not allowed.
